About This Business
American Fence Company is a juggernaut in the fencing industry. It’s a family run business started in 1948 by a decorated WWII war hero. They have 17 branches in 9 states. Their major manufacturing plant is in Phoenix. Most of their products are made in USA.
The Tucson store has a showroom where you can see product displays. It’s a great way to get ideas. If you already know what you want or need some help in figuring out what that is – there are in-store sales specialists to assist you. These folks can provide product information/recommendations, create a parts list of all the necessary components you’ll need to successfully complete your DIY installation, and generate a price quote for all the materials. Toward that end (when I visited the showroom), I met with such a specialist, the branch manager. She was very helpful and clearly knew her companies capabilities, services, and products inside and out – a great resource for sure.
American Fence Company has one Tucson location out near the airport. They offer (or can get from their Phoenix manufacturing plant) a wide variety of fencing products including:
- Residential/commercial chain link (including the slats that turn it into a privacy fence)
- Wood
- PVC coated chain link
- Ornamental iron
- Automated gates & access control
- Farm/livestock/agricultural
- Vinyl fencing
Their shop is clean and well organized. According to one of their sales specialist, they sell a lot of chain link. There’s a whole section of the store that is dedicated to the fittings necessary to install this type of fencing.
If you’re the type of person who likes to take on their own projects and needs a reputable material supplier and expert advice, then American Fence Company may become your go-to store.
As a final note, they are not set up to do installation for residential customers.
Military Discount (active & retired): Yes, it all depends on the dollar amount spent. Inquire at store for details.
