A family business for over 30 years, Sonoran Landscaping Materials, Inc. offers a wide variety of rock products, topsoil, planting mix (topsoil mixed with sand) and compost, etc.. The staff is knowledgable, polite and very helpful.

When entering the yard drive all the way to the back of it (several hundred yards). You’ll see a couple of mobile home-like trailers on the far side of the property – and likely see a couple of loaders and maybe a dump truck or two. Drive past the first trailer (a work building) and park just to the left of the second trailer (the office). When you walk along the walkway to the to the office entrance, you’ll see a nice array of stone products laid out in a serpentine bed with edging and dividers. You’ll also see round beds of the same configuration with more rock samples when you look farther to your left. This whole area is to walk around and get a feel for what they have. All the segmented areas have stone markers letting you know what’s available.

Once entering the trailer you’ll find a desk manned by office staff. At the front of the trailer is the manager. When I met him he was very helpful in answering all my questions.

The other nice thing is that you can bring your own 5 gallon bucket(s) and fill it up with whatever they offer. The price is only $2.00/bucket load. A real fair price if you ask me.
