White Ink on Black Paper

Art Supplies included in Price

Illustrate nocturnal birdlife in the Sonoran Desert. We’ll use white ink pens on black paper for bold, dramatic effects. We’ll learn about the basics of bird anatomy and motion to help us add lifelike flair to our drawings. Our subjects will include nighthawks and owls.  

Art supplies will be provided by TBG. Supplies: white gellyroll ink pens, black drawing paper, pencils and erasers, clipboards so we can draw in the gardens.

Saraiya Kanning

Saraiya Kanning is a Tucson artist with a passion for animal subjects. She works across multiple mediums, including ink, watercolor, and silk painting. Saraiya’s art is often characterized by bold, vibrant colors and stylized mark-making. When teaching, she seeks to make art enjoyable and accessible to all. 

Refund & Cancellation Policy

No refund will be issued less than 15 days prior to any Community Class. A $10 cancellation fee will be applied to all refunds. No refunds will be issued for special events. We reserve the right to cancel Community Classes due to insufficient registration, garden closure, or inclement weather, in which case, participants will receive a full refund. People with disabilities should make requests for accommodation as early as possible to allow time to make appropriate arrangements.
