Join us for an unforgettable wildlife experience to witness thousands of Sandhill Cranes at Whitewater Draw Wildlife Area. These incredible migratory birds make their annual pilgrimage to Arizona, basking in our warmer climate before soaring back north for their spring breeding season. Alongside the Sandhill Cranes, our group will have the chance to observe various waterfowl and birds in the surrounding area. Our Ed-Venture will dive deep into the world of Whitewater Draw, exploring diverse birdlife and wildlife.
Guiding us through this adventure is none other than Homer Hansen, the brilliant mind behind Wings Over Wilcox. With Homer at the helm, you’re in for an educational and thrilling ride. He’ll identify birds, provide top-notch spotting scopes for up-close views, and assist beginners in proper use of binoculars and bird spotting.
Don’t forget to bring a sack lunch, and don’t worry about snacks and water – Tohono Chul has you covered. After a pleasant day in nature, we’ll hop on the bus, returning to Tohono Chul by 4:30-5 pm.
