Marigolds (Cempazuchitl) are a staple of Día de los Muertos ofrendas (altars). Their vibrant colors and strong scents are said to attract the souls of the departed back to the land of the living. Sandy Villegas of Luna’s Paper Designs will teach you step-by-step how to create marigold flowers and leaves from crepe paper to include in your own altar or fall decoration. All supplies are provided. This workshop will be in Classroom 1 of the Education Center, next to the Children’s Museum.
