The Claire de Lune Peony is sweet but outrageous, with an abundance of bright orange anthers on top of a single white bloom. It is also an early bloomer with an incredible fragrance. The foliage, which you get to enjoy all season, is a pretty emerald green. Peonies explode into bloom for a week or two in early summer, and then serve as a full bushy green accent plant in the garden. While easy to grow, they do require patience, sometimes taking two or even three years to bloom. They grow stronger and more prolific with every passing year and live up to 100 years. Sandy Luna from Luna’s Paper Designs LLC will teach you how to assemble one flower with crepe paper and leaves already pre-cut. You will learn how to shape all the petals and leaves as well as color the petals, stems, and leaves with pastel to give the flower a realistic touch.
This is a one-day class, and all supplies are provided. You can bring snacks and drinks.
$65 for members and $80 for the general public.
