Joan McGann earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Wichita State University and a Certificate of Excellence from the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum Art Institute, Nature Illustration Program. She has exhibited in gardens and galleries throughout the United States. Current works in botanical illustration have an emphasis on plants native to the Sonoran Desert. Her work is in the permanent collections of the Hunt Institute for Botanical Documentation at Carnegie Mellon University, the Shirley Sherwood Collection at Kew Gardens, London, the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum and in private collections. She has received Best Drawing awards in international exhibitions with the American Society of Botanical Artists and the New York Botanical Gardens.
No refund will be issued less than 15 days prior to any Community Class. A $10 cancellation fee will be applied to all refunds. No refunds will be issued for special events.
We reserve the right to cancel Community Classes due to insufficient registration, garden closure, or inclement weather, in which case, participants will receive a full refund. People with disabilities should make requests for accommodation as early as possible to allow time to make appropriate arrangements.
