DESCRIPTION:@ 			\n			\n							 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRegister Here\n\n$30 Non-Member / $24 Member \n\n\n\n\nThis time of year\, we hear a lot about mistletoe\, at parties\, in carols\, on cards\, and other avenues.  In this class\, we explore the reality of these fascinating plants.  There are many misconceptions about mistletoe which we will debunk.  For example\, are they truly parasites?  They are not the only parasitic plants out there.  We will also survey some of these other plants that should not be thought of as freeloaders but of marvels of evolution. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nInstructor \nJeff Babson\n\n\nJeff Babson is an all-around naturalist\, with particular interest in birds\, butterflies\, moths\, beetles and dragonflies.  \nOwner of Sky Island Tours\, an environmental education and eco-tour company\, Jeff has led birding tours for the Tucson Botanical Gardens\, Pima County Department of Natural Resources\, Parks and Recreation\, Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum\, and several birding festivals in southern Arizona (Wings over Willcox\, Southwest Wings\, Tucson Birding and Nature Festival). He lives in Vail with his wife and two children. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRefund & Cancellation Policy\nNo refund will be issued less than 15 days prior to any Community Class. Looking up\, the sky alters chameleon-like\, with colors infinite and buoying shape-shifting clouds. Looking down\, close attention reveals that grasses\, flowers\, leaves\, and seeds are complex structures with myriad intricate parts and inviting mysteries.“
