Join us to learn how to make your own flour tortillas. Sandy\, a Puebla\, Mexico native later moved to Sonora\, Mexico before coming to the United States. Her papier mâché skills transfer to kitchen where she will demonstrate and guide you through the complete process from making the dough to cooking your flour tortillas. Ingredients will be provided. Please bring a large mixing bowl and a wooden rolling pin. Each student will make ~ 10 flour tortillas.

DESCRIPTION:Desert cottontails are a common sight at Tohono Chul. They dart across the paths so quickly that it can be hard to catch a good glimpse of the cute little cottontails – why not take home your very own bunny rabbit?! Sandy Villegas of Luna’s Paper Designs will provide handmade papier mâché bunny forms for painting. This project is perfect for children 7 to 10-years-old. Kids can let their creativity run wild as they paint and decorate their adorable creatures! Children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult.
