But they zip in and out of our yards and gardens so quickly – here one minute\, gone the next! Mosaic artist and instructor\, David Jarvinen has developed a free form wall mounted project that will allow you to capture a hummingbird in time. You will use glass tiles to express the graceful movements and composition of a hummingbird in flight. All materials are provided. No formal breaks are included so please bring lunch and/or snacks and a beverage. Masks will be required in keeping with Tohono Chul’s current Covid-19 policies.

This three-day workshop includes basic technique anyone can learn\, working ‘on location’ in the gardens\, plus technique from John Singer Sargent. Ideal for timid beginners who want to fearlessly paint in public\, and for experienced artists who want total portability\, speed\, and no clean-up.
