Mary is a Certified Yoga Teacher and Yoga Therapist.  All are welcome!  Open your senses to an understanding of our connection to the earth. All are encouraged to practice at their own pace and modifications will be demonstrated. Please bring your own mat and dress in layers. SUMMARY:TUESDAY ART TALK with  KATE LONG HODGES
DESCRIPTION:The Tuesday Art Talk series is an entrance into the inspiration\, concepts\, and unique processes of our exhibiting artists. The talk is free with admission and held in the Garden Pavilion. \nKate Long Hodges grew up on an apple orchard in Cornwall Vermont. She taught art to children at orphanages in Brazil and Honduras and received her Master of Fine Arts at the University of Arizona in sculpture.  She worked for artist Judy Pfaff as an assistant in New York\, helping with large-scale installations\, then returned to Arizona to pursue her own artwork. She founded Little Lightning Studios\, a mobile art school that serves young children to teenagers in the Tucson community. She is co-director of The Land With No Name\, Sanctuary For Homeless Sculpture\, a forty-five acre plot of wild desert that she and her husband Ted Wade Springer have been directing for 12 years. \nTo learn more about Kate Long Hodges and The Land with No Name\, Sanctuary For Homeless Sculpture go to: www.thelandwithnoname.org \nKate’s work is currently featured in the Tohono Chul exhibition The Elements: Earth.
